Girl crush

Anita Loos

Mary Brian

Jobyna Ralston

Marceline Day

Louise Brooks

Josephine Baker

While the camera embargo continues, I thought at least I'd share some images that inspire me, and today they revolve around beautiful ladies.Aren't they simply amazing?

Photos from anythinggoes.tumblr, valentinovamp.tumblr and possibly a couple of other places too...

  1. I've got a crush on Jobyna Ralston too; glad to see someone else recognises her beauty. Another photo of her I haven't seen - and I thought I'd seen most of them! All gorgeous ladies here, though. Mary Brian is particularly striking; I'm off to find out some more about her!

    1. Hi Bruce, there's more talk about her here:http://starletshowcase.blogspot.co.uk/2008/07/jobyna-ralston-eyes.html

  2. And a great post here about Mary Brian: http://myloveofoldhollywood.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/mary-brian-1906-2002.html

  3. Gorgeous - and highly talented ladies one and all. I'm especially partial to Mary Brian and Josephine Baker, myself.

  4. Jobyna Ralston was the bee's knees. Esp when paired with Harold Lloyd :D

  5. My "crush" is very much photograph - specific rather than focused on any of these ladies as such. Mary Brian to me, for example, is a rather plain if doll faced woman; still, she produced a few absolutely stunning photographs among which the one included here. Anita Loos was far from both the round faced ingenue and the femme fatale, yet this pic beats both in my eyes. I think it is probably Louise Brooks out of then whom I would look at as a "constant" beauty, but then again what on earth does that mean? Beauty, like happiness, is a tough pursuit and lasts for a split second.

  6. Hello, I'd love to nominate you for a Liebster Blog Award. http://justpeachy-darling.blogspot.com/2012/12/liebster-blog-award.html

  7. What a great photo selection of absolutely stunning women!
